Abstract:

Účelem diplomové práce je analyzovat Kivy Framework (www.kivy.org) a shrnout jeho možnosti. Hlavním úkolem je dodat dostatečné množství informací, aby bylo možné rozhodnout, zda je tento aplikační rámec dostačující pro komerční vývoj. Praktická část práce je věnována vývoji prototypu aplikace, která je využita k ověření konceptů popsaných v teoretické části. Tento prototyp přispívá k identifikaci potenciálních problémů během implementace a nasazení. Text práce je strukturován do tří částí. První z nich seznamuje čtenáře s aplikačním rámcem a technologiemi na něm závislými. Druhá část se zabývá shromažďováním základní báze informací, využité při vývoji aplikace. Poslední část ověřuje silné a slabé stránky aplikačního rámce po dobu procesu vývoje aplikace a popisuje problémy vzniklé během implementace. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu jsou využity při rozhodování, zda je Kivy Framework vhodný pro komerční vývoj v Y Soft Corporation, a.s. Přínos této diplomové práce spočívá také v tom, že detailní popis aplikačního rámce může být prospěšný nejen pro Y Soft Corporation, ale také každému potenciálnímu programátorovi, který zvažuje využití aplikačního rámce Kivy Framework.

Abstract:

The purpose of the thesis is to analyze Kivy Framework (www.kivy.org) and summarize its capabilities. The main goal is to deliver sufficient information about the framework to decide on the possibility of its use it in commercial development. The practical part is devoted to a prototype application development that is used as a proof of concept. The prototype helps to identify potential problems during the implementation and deployment. The text is structured in three parts. The first part familiarizes the reader with the framework and dependent technologies. The second part is concerned with using the collected information and uses that as a base for developing the application. The last part validates the strengths and weaknesses of the framework during the application's development process and describes the problems found during the implementation. The results of this research are used as a decision point on whether the Kivy Framework is suitable for commercial development in Y Soft Corporation, a.s. The benefit of the thesis is that the comprehensive description of the Kivy Framework can be beneficial not only to Y Soft Corporation but to any potential programmer who is concerned with this framework and its potential use.
