Leaving the Children's Home

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem odchodů jedinců z dětského domova. Proto se nejprve věnuje vymezením ústavní péče, následně charakteristice samotných odcházejích ze zařízení. Tedy obdobím adolescence, aby zachytila, v jaké situaci se tento člověk nachází. Dále se zaměřuje na téma odchodu. Teoretickou část zakončuje vybranými výsledky výzkumu Kovaříka, Bubleové a kol. pro dokreslení problematiky odchodu a situace po něm. Na tuto část pak navazuje vlastní kvalitativní výzkum, založený na rozhovorech se šesti informanty a na pozorováních jedinců na kurzech Života nanečisto. Abychom jejich situaci mohli pochopit, se nejprve zaměřuje na vnímání dětského domova. Dále identifikuje pět faktorů ovlivňujících vnímání odchodu z dětského domova. Následná situace po odchodu pomůže i k objasnění řetězce: vztahy v dětském domově, podpora po odchodu a míra naplnění potřeb jedinců. A tedy celkové spokojenosti se situacemi, ve kterých se po odchodu nachází. Na závěr se zabývá jedinci na kurzech Života nanečisto. Tato kapitola pomohla dokreslit to, jací jedinci z dětského domova odcházejí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of individuals who leave a children’s home. Therefore it attempts to define institutional care which is followed by the characteristics of particular individuals who leave the children´s home. It focuses on the period of adolescence to capture the situation such individuals find themselves in. It then focuses on the departure. The theoretical part is concluded with selected research results by Kovarik, Bubleová et al. to illustrate the problems of leaving and the situation that follows. This part is followed by qualitative research based on interviews with six informants and on observations of individuals in the courses called Život nanečisto. In order to understand their situation, the thesis firstly focuses on the perception of the children´s home. It further identifies five factors influencing the perception of leaving the children´s home. The situation following the departure helps clarifying the chain: relationships in the children´s home, the support after departure and the scale of the needs of individuals fulfilment. And thus the overall satisfaction with the situations in which they find themselves after leaving. In the end it deals with individuals in the courses Život nanečisto. This chapter helped depicting the character of individuals who leave the children´s house.
