The paper mill and the sluice of Weisshuhn in Žimrovice terms of heritage conservation

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na historii, stavební a technický vývoj a dokumentaci současného stavu papírny v Žimrovicích a jejího uměle vytvořeného vodního toku, tzv. Weisshuhnova náhonu. Papírna byla postavena Karlem Weisshuhnem a dne 18.12.1891 zaregistrována u okresního hejtmanství v Opavě. Cílem práce je postihnou celkový vývoj stavebního fondu a technických zařízení areálu papírny od založení do současnosti (návaznost technologického toku papírny ve spojení s náhonem, energetické zdroje), zhotovení podrobné dokumentace a zejména vyhodnocení z hlediska památkové péče, tj. vytvoření objektivního argumentačního aparátu pro aktualizaci již podaného návrhu k prohlášení náhonu za kulturní památku. (Jedna z kapitol zahrne i širší souvislosti vztahující se k aktivitám rodiny Weisshuhnovy.) Dále se práce zabývá možnostmi přiblížení této technické památky veřejnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the history, construction and technical development and documentation of the current state of the paper mill in the village called Žimrovice and its artificial watercourse, called Weisshuhn?s sluiceway. Paper mill was built by Carl Weisshuhn and it was registered in 18th December 1891 at the District Office in Opava. The aim of Thesis is to affect the overall development of the building stock and paper mill complex technical equipment from the foundation to the present (continuity of the technological flow mill in conjunction with drive, energy resources), making detailed documentation and evaluation particularly in terms of conservation, argumentation, an objective system for updating already filed petition statement to drive a cultural monument. (One of the chapters includes a broader context, relating to the activities of the Weisshuhns? family.) The thesis deals with the possibilities of technical monuments approaches to the public.
