Účelem diplomové práce je představit raně novověkou kopii kultovního obrazu Salus Populi Romani v kontextu náboženské praxe a imaginace řádu Tovaryšstva Ježíšova. Jednotlivé kapitoly této práce se zaměřují na dobovou percepci Panny Marie, úlohu imaginace v jezuitské spiritualitě a teorii náboženského obrazu v období po tridentském koncilu. Abstract:
The master thesis deals with early modern copy of the miraculous image known as Salus Populi Romani within religious praxis, politics and imagery of Jesuits in Brno. Chapters of the master thesis focus on the perception of Virgin Mary in early modern period, role of imagery in the spirituality of Jesuits and theory of sacred images in the post-Tridentine age.
