Job Satisfaction of Employees in Selected Non-profit Organization

Abstract:

The main aim of the thesis is to ascertain the level of work satisfaction in the selected non-profit organization. The theoretical part of the work is aimed at delineating the issue of job satisfaction and defining specific aspects of it in the context of non-profit organizations. The key point of the theoretical part of the work is the identification of the factors that make up job satisfaction. These are then applied in the empirical part. The main research method used are a modified version of the standardized workplace satisfaction questionnaire, analysis of documents and interviews. The research results show that the employees of the chosen organization consider relations with coworkers to be the most important factor determining their satisfaction and that they are also the most satisfied with this factor. Based on the research results, the most problematic part is the appreciation of their work. The conclusion of the work presents suggestions to the organization management that provide a possible guide to increasing employee satisfaction and improving the overall workplace environment.

Abstract:

Základným cieľom diplomovej práce je zistiť úroveň pracovnej spokojnosti vo vybranej neziskovej organizácii. Teoretická časť práce vymedzuje problematiku pracovnej spokojnosti a definuje špecivifká neziskových organizácií. Kľúčovým výstupom tejto teoretickej časti je identifikovanie faktorov pracovnej spokojnosti, ktoré sú následne využité pre zistenie čiastkovej spokojnosti v empirickej časti. Hlavnými výskumnými metódami sú upravený štandardizovaný dotazník pracovnej spokojnosti, analýza dokumentov organizácie a voľné rozhovory. Zistenie z výskumného šetrenia ukazuje, že zamestnanci vybranej organizácie považujú sa najdôležitejšie vzťahy na pracovisku a s týmto faktorom sú aj najviac spokojní. Najmenej spokojní sú s faktorom uznania za dobre vykonanú prácu, ktorý zároveň stojí vysoko v individuálnych preferenciách. V závere práce sú formulované návrhy a doporučenia, ktoré vedeniu organizácie poskytujú vodítko k zvýšovaniu spokojnosti zamestnancov a zlepšenie organizčnej klímy.
