Knowledge of midwives about domestic violence

Abstract:

Tématem této práce je problematika domácího násilí. Teoretická část bakalářské práce vysvětluje základní pojmy v problematice domácího násilí, tedy jaké jsou znaky domácího násilí; jeho formy, kdo se může stát obětí a kdo agresorem. Dále pak, jak je upravena tato problematika českou legislativou. V teoretické části je pozornost dále soustředěna na pomoc ohroženým ženám. V práci jsou tudíž popsány neziskové organizace a centra, která se tímto problémem zabývají a v neposlední řadě také, jak by měl ženě pomoci zdravotnický personál. Hlavním cílem průzkumné části je zjistit, jaké znalosti o domácím násilí mají sestry/porodní asistentky pracující na porodnicko-gynekologickém pracovišti.

Abstract:

The theme of this work is the issue of domestic violence. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts in the issue of domestic violence, what are the signs of domestic violence, its forms, who can become a victim and who the aggressor. Furthermore, how this issue is regulated by Czech legislation. Also focuses on helping vulnerable women. The work describes non-profit organizations and centres that deal with this problem, and last but not least, how medical staff should help women. The main objective of the survey was to find out what knowledge of domestic violence the nurses/midwives working in the obstetrician-gynaecological workplace have.
