Smart Technologies: The state of implementation in Czech hospitals

Abstract:

Práce Smart technologie: Stav využití v českých nemocnicích se zabývá oblastí chytrých technologií, které se souhrnně dají označit termínem internet věcí. Internet věcí poskytuje uživatelům větší míru automatizace, rozhodování a optimalizace procesů. Konkrétní oblastí řešení je v této práci oblast zdravotnictví a dokumentace stavu využití v českých nemocnicích. Cílem práce je zdokumentovat stav chytrých technologií v nemocnicích napříč Českou republikou. To obnáší zjištění, v jaké fázi životního cyklu se jednotlivé oblasti chytrých technologií nacházejí, jednak nyní a v druhé řadě ve výhledu do budoucna. Pro naplnění cílů práce byla zpracována rešerše informačních zdrojů a vypracován teoretický podklad představující jak internet věcí obecně, tak konkrétněji se zaměřením právě na zdravotnictví. Následně bylo provedeno dotazníkového šetření napříč zdravotnickými subjekty v ČR. Výsledky šetření jsou rovněž i přínosem této práce. Výsledky jsou použitelné např. pro zjištění priority jednotlivých oblastí napříč chytrými nemocnicemi.

Abstract:

Main topic of this master’s thesis named „Smart Technologies: The state of implementation in Czech hospitals“ are technologies that can be summarized as Internet of Things (IoT). IoT allows its users several things – more advanced degree of automation, better decision making and process optimization. The focus of this thesis is one specific area of IoT usage – smart health or smart hospitals. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the state of smart hospitals in Czech republic. State of implemenation of several smart technology areas in present and in the future. To achieve this goal, several things have been done – research of information sources that allowed author to put together theoretical baseline for the thesis. This baseline is consisted of two main areas – general explanation of what IoT is and how is it used in the area of healthcare. On the grounds of this theoretical baseline, a questionnare was created. This questionnaire was sent to several healthcare providers with a goal of gaining their input on IoT and its usage in their facility. The results of this survey are main benefits of this thesis. The results can be used e.g. for analyzing the priority of several areas of use within the scope of smart hospitals. This can be useful for e.g. providers of said technologies.
