Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with behavioural characteristics of the major male characters in four selected Canadian films, namely Goin’ Down the Road, Mon Oncle Antoine, Family Viewing, and Videodrome. It considers mainly the notion of victimization which was introduced to Canadian film criticism in 1972 by Margaret Atwood and Robert Fothergill, with the most influential works being their book Survival …more
