Johannes Sandel: Böhmische Chronica Wenceslai Hagecii... Commented transcription of selected chapters

Abstract:

The subject of the submitted thesis is a translation of the Bohemian Chronicle, which was originally written by Václav Hájek z Libočan. The Bohemian Chronicle was published 1541, Johannes Sandel translated it into German and the translation was published in Prague in the year 1596 with the title Böhmische Chronica. Thesis has two parts, transcription of a part of Sandel’s translation of Bohemian Chronicle (years 890–920) and an analysis of the text of transcription. The analysis concentrates on some specificities of the Early New High German, in which the translation is written. So called „Frühneuhochdeutsch“ is briefly characterized and in individual chapters the particular issues are analyzed in which the Early New High German is different from the modern German. These issues primarily concern graphemics and phonemics. The analysis is based on the scholarly literature and supplemented with the selected examples from the text of the transcription.

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je překlad Kroniky České, jejímž původním autorem je Václav Hájek z Libočan. Kronika česká byla vydána roku 1541, do němčiny ji přeložil Johannes Sandel a tento překlad byl vydán v Praze v roce 1596 pod názvem Böhmische Chronica. Práce má dvě části, transkripci části Sandelova překladu Kroniky české (léta 890–920) a analýzu transkribovaného textu. Analýza se zaměřuje především na zvláštnosti rané nové horní němčiny, ve které je překlad napsán. Tzv. „Frühneuhochdeutsch“ je krátce charakterizována a v jednotlivých kapitolách jsou analyzovány konkrétní oblasti, ve kterých se odlišuje od moderní němčiny, jedná se především o jevy týkající se grafemiky a fonemiky. Analýza je podložená odbornou literaturou a doplněna konkrétními příklady z transkribovaného textu.
