Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tenisem na území dnešního okresu Blansko od založení prvního oddílu v Blansku až po současný stav. První kapitola se věnuje hraní tenisu v okrese od konce 19. století do počátku 1. světové války. Druhá kapitola pak zkoumá období mezi světovými válkami. V následující části práce pojednává o pozvolném rozvíjení tenisu po válce v okrese až do roku 1989 a mohutném vzestupu hraní závodního tenisu v Blansku, Letovicích, Boskovicích a dalších místech. Ve čtvrté kapitole jsou rozebírány největší úspěchy zejména oddílu v Letovicích. V závěrečné části je pak sledován rychlý vývoj situace v tenisových oddílech v nedávné minulosti až do současného stavu.

Abstract:

The Master thesis deals with tennis in the area known today as Blansko since the club was first established to the present day. The first chapter deals with tennis played in the district from the end of the 19th century until World War I. The second chapter examines the period between World War I and World War II. The third chapter is about the gradual development of tennis in the district untill the end of 1989 and the great development of tennis in other areas especially in Blansko, Letovice and Boskovice. The fourth chapter analyzes many great achievements particularly of the club in Letovice. The final chapter observes the present condition of tennis clubs from the recent past to the present day.
