Family constellations in selected works by Peter Härtling in front of the psychological background

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the analysis of the novel "Delayed Love" by the German author Peter Härtling, who is closely connected with the Czech environment in which he spent the crucial years of his childhood. Throughout the work, the author's memories of his father are interwoven, in the confrontation of which he tries to unravel the relationship between them. The aim of the work is to point out the manifestations of love that the protagonist longed for, which he was able to assess only with the passage of time. The first chapters introduce the author's life, the novel itself and the historical background of the work. The analysis of the novel itself is divided into several aspects, both historical and autobiographical, and the result is the author's discovery, years later, of his "belated love" for his father. The family, family constellations, emotions and love are described to create a complex picture.

Abstract:

Die Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse des Romans ,,Nachgetragene Liebe" des deutschen Autors Peter Härtling, der eng mit dem tschechischen Umfeld verbunden ist, in dem er die grundlegenden Jahre seiner Kindheit verbrachte. Im gesamten Werk werden die Erinnerungen des Autors an seinen Vater miteinander verwoben, in deren Konfrontation er versucht, die Beziehung zwischen ihnen zu enträtseln. Das Ziel der Diplomarbeit ist es, die Erscheinungsformen der Liebe aufzuzeigen, nach denen sich der Hauptheld sehnte und die er erst im Laufe der Zeit zu beurteilen vermochte. In den ersten Kapiteln werden das Autorleben, der Roman selbst und der historische Hintergrund des Werks vorgestellt. Die Analyse des Romans selbst wird in mehrere historischen und autobiografischen Aspekte gegliedert, die dazu führen, dass der Autor Jahre später seine ,,nachgetragene Liebe" zu seinem Vater entdeckt. Familie, Familienkonstellationen, Emotionen und Liebe werden beschrieben, um ein komplexes Bild zu schaffen.
