Architect Hynek Maňák: Furniture and interior design with a focus on office furniture design

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce mapuje tvorbu architekta, interiérového designéra a konstruktéra Hynka Maňáka. V prvních odstavcích se práce věnuje jeho bibliografii, která pokračuje přehledem o kancelářském nábytku. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje oddíl veřejné a nábytkové tvorby. V závěru teze se zaměříme na kancelářské systémy. Hlavním přínosem je sepsání souboru děl architekta, který do této doby nebyl zhotoven. V tom spočívá jedinečnost této práce. Hlavní zdroje, které jsou využívány jsou soukromý archiv architekta a také osobní kontakt, který do práce vnesl osobitost a originalitu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis describes the work of architect, interior designer and designer Hynek Maňák. In the first paragraphs, the thesis is devoted to his bibliography, which continues with the overview of office furniture. This chapter is followed by a section of public and furniture production. At the end of the thesis we will focus on office systems. The main contribution is the writing of a set of works by an architect who has not been made until that time. This is the uniqueness of this work. The main sources that are used are the private archive of the architect, as well as the personal contact that brought the work into personality and originality.
