Bakalářská práce se věnuje institutu státního občanství v České republice. Hlavním cílem práce je období po roce 1993. V úvodní části je popsána historie a vývoj státního občanství České republiky. V hlavní části se práce zabývá nabýváním, pozbýváním a udělením státního občanství po roce 1993, dále pak navrácením státního občanství České republiky emigrantům. The main focus of the final paper is the institute of citizenship in the Czech Republic. The main objective is the period after 1993, when the Czechoslovak Federation split up into two independent states: the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
