Commented translation of a text from business French (field to be chosen)

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the commented translation of an excerpt from an economic text from the book L?Arrogance de la finance which was written by Henri Bourguinat et Éric Briys. The thesis is a translatological work that combines not only the elements of the translation theory, but particularly also the elements of their practical use during solving specific translation problems in the Frech-Czech translation. The thesis is focused on the economic and financial terminology translation problems from French to Czech, their equivalence degree, and potential solutions for the low equivalence degree by using the translation procedures. This thesis is completed especially through the stylistic analysis of the text and through the potential solutions for how to translate - into Czech - the specific syntactic translation problems in the French specialised text. The contribution of the thesis consists of the excerpt translated from French to Czech by the author of the thesis. It also consists of the translation commentary focused on the French economic and financial terms, and of their glossary which contains their equivalents.

Le mémoire de licence traite la traduction commentée d?un extrait du texte économique provenant du livre L?Arrogance de la finance rédigé par Henri Bourguinat et Éric Briys. Il s?agit du travail du domaine translatologique qui est composé des éléments de la théorie de traduction, ainsi que des éléments de leur emploi pratique afin de resourde les difficultés concr?tes issues de la traduction de l?extrait en tch?que. Le travail est orienté vers la problématique de la traduction des termes économiques et financiers du français au tch?que, vers leur degré d?équivalence et vers les solutions possibles de l?équivalence non-suffisante ? l?aide des procédés de traduction. Le travail est complété, surtout, par l?analyse stylistique de l?extrait et par les solutions possibles des particularités syntaxiques du texte spécialisé français lors de sa traduction en tch?que. L?apport du travail consiste ? la traduction de l?extrait du français au tch?que, effectuée par l?auteur du mémoire de licence, ainsi qu?au commentaire orienté vers la traduction des termes économiques et financiers français dont le glossaire contient leurs équivalents.
