Abstract:

Cílem této práce je vytvořit interaktivní aplikaci pro mobilní zařízení na základě průzkumu použití interaktivních aplikací při výuce Anglického jazyka. Práce se zabývá současnými trendy v interaktivních aplikacích a popisuje jejich metody a přístupy k výuce Anglického jazyka. Tato práce je snahou porovnat hlavní interaktivní aplikace používané současnými učiteli a porovnat metody výuky jazykových dovedností v těchto aplikacích. Dalším cílem této práce je objevit, které jazykové dovednosti a jim podřazené sub-dovednosti jsou zanedbávány současnými metodami výuky v těchto aplikacích. Teoretická část popisuje různé přístupy vzdělávacích interaktivních aplikací na mobilních a počítačových zařízeních a navrhuje různé typy cvičení pro zlepšení rozdílných jazykových dovedností. Následně se práce soustředí na praktický příklad tvorby interaktivní aplikace zaměřené na sub-dovednosti, které nejsou podporovány současnými aplikacemi, jak bylo jasné z předchozího průzkumu. Aplikace je následně testována na cílové skupině a výsledky jsou hodnoceny v závěru této práce.

Abstract:

The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to create an interactive application for mobile devices based on investigation of the use of interactive applications in teaching English. This thesis focuses on the current trends in the interactive applications for mobile devices and describes their methods and approaches to English language teaching. The thesis is an attempt to investigate main interactive applications used by contemporary teachers and to compare the applications' methods of language skills teaching. Another purpose of this thesis is to discover which language skills and their attributable micro-skills are neglected by current teaching methods in the applications. The theoretical part discusses different approaches to educational interactive applications on mobile and computer devices and suggests usage of various types of exercises for improvement of different language skills. The bachelor thesis then focuses on a practical example of the creation of an interactive application focused on neglected micro-skills which have not been supported by contemporary applications, as was apparent from the previous research. The application is tested on a target group and the results are analysed in the conclusion of the bachelor thesis.
