Symbolism of the right-wing extremist groups in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na symboliku užívanou pravicovými extremisty na našem území. V první části práce je vysvětlen pojem extremismus a jsou zdůrazněny odlišné výklady tohoto termínu. V této části jsou také komparovány extremistické proudy z hlediska jejich historického vývoje, za účelem zdůraznění ideologických průniků. Další část práce se zabývá trestněprávními aspekty extremistické symboliky a mimo jiné řeší i důležitou otázku společenské nebezpečnosti symboliky. Následující část práce má za úkol vytvoření přehledného seznamu nejužívanější symboliky a rozdělení těchto symbolů podle formy nebo rasového motivu.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on symbolism used by right-wing extremists in our country. The first part of the thesis explains the concept of extremism and emphasizes different interpretations of the term. Different extremist ideologies are compared in terms of their historical development in order to highlight their ideological breakthroughs. The next part deals with criminal aspects of extremist symbolism and, among other things, addresses the important issue of the danger of symbolism for society. The final part of the thesis is intended to create a thorough list of the most frequently used symbols. Division of the symbols by form and racial motive are also presented.
