Occupational therapy after alloplasty of the carpometacarpal joint of the thumb

Abstract:

Teoretická část této práce má tři kapitoly. V první kapitole je popsána funkční anatomie a kineziologie ruky. Druhá kapitola objasňuje pojmy jako osteoartróza, artróza rukou, ale především pak rhizartróza, kde je popsána incidence s rizikovými faktory, klinický obraz, diagnostika, deformity palce a druhy léčby tohoto onemocnění. Popsána je léčba jak konzervativní tak chirurgická, která zahrnuje i přehled prováděných operačních výkonů a druhy náhrad CMC kloubu palce. Třetí kapitola popisuje možnosti ergoterapeutické intervence u kloubních náhrad CMC kloubu palce. Praktická část zahrnuje kazuistiky dvou pacientek po aloplastice CMC kloubu palce s typem náhrady MEDIN. Popisuje průběh ergoterapie, jak v období těsně předoperační, tak raně a pozdně pooperační.

Abstract:

Theoretical part of this work includes three chapters. In the first chapter descriptions of functional anatomy and kinesiology of hand are. The second chapter explains terms as osteoarthrosis, arthrosis of arm, but mainly rhisarthrosis with description of incidence, risk factors, clinical problems, diagnostics, deformities of thumb, and possibilities of treatment. Both ways of cure, conservative cure and surgical one, are described in this chapter. Also overview of operations and possible types of replacements of CMC thumb joint are included. The third chapter describes possibilities of interventions of occupational therapy in patients with replacement of CMC thumb joint. Practical part includes case reports of two female patients who have experienced aloplastic surgery of CMC thumb joint by type of replacement called MEDIN. It also describes interventions of occupational therapy in preoperative, operative and postoperative period.
