Fotometrická kalibrace fotonásobiče

Abstract:

Táto práca sa zaoberá fotometriou za použitia fotonásobiča ako detektora. I keď je éra fotonásobičov už za nami, majú tieto nesporné výhody oproti novým detektorom -- CCD kamerám. Ich vysoký pomer signál -- šum je vlastnosťou oceňovanou najmä v diferenciálnej fotometrii premenných hviezd. Fotonásobiče majú svoju hodnotu i historickom zmysle, sú článkom medzi používaním fotografických dosiek a nových detektorov ako CCD kamery. Cieľom mojej práce bolo zostaviť meraciu aparatúru s fotonásobičom ako detektorom a podpornú elektroniku, a pomocou niekoľkých vybraných štandardných hviezd prístroj nakalibrovať. Takéto zariadenie potom môže byť použité i pri diferenciálnej fotometrii.

Abstract:

This paper deals with photoelectric photometry using a photomultiplier tube as a detector. Although photomultiplier tubes are not a mainstream detectors nowadays, they have certain benefits over the CCD cameras. Their quick response and high signal-to-noise ratio are of much use in astronomy, especially when dealing with differential photometry of variable stars. My aim is to build an apparatus and supporting electronics and to do the calibration measurements on chosen standard stars. Such a calibrated device could be later used even for photoelectric photometry.
