Psychological difficulties in women in the six-week period

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá psychickými potížemi v šestinedělí. Tyto problémy trápí až jednu třetinu žen po porodu. Teoretická část bakalářské práce shromažďuje informace z odborné literatury, článků a studií. Zabývá se nejčastějšími psychickými potížemi v poporodním období, jejím vznikem, rizikovými faktory, příznaky a terapií. Popisuje diagnostiku a prevenci těchto psychických poruch. Empirickou část tvoří kvalitativní výzkumné šetření realizované rozhovory s ženami. Výzkum mapuje průběh psychických potíží u žen v poporodní době. Rozhovory se také snaží zjistit, jak jsou ženy v těhotenství edukovány o vzniku poporodních potíží. Bylo zjištěno, že ženy nejsou edukovány o tomto problému. Díky organizaci Úsměv mámy a Národnímu ústavu duševního zdraví by mohlo dojít k větší informovanosti v této problematice v nejbližších letech.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on psychological difficulties during puerperium. These particular problems affects third of all women after they give birth. Theoretical part of thesis gathers information from medical literature, articles and scientific studies. It is engaged in the most common psychic problems, their origin, risk factors, symptoms, therapy and describes diagnostics along with prevention of said problems. Empirical section consists of qualitative research interviews conducted with women. The research observe process of psychological difficulties in puerperium. The interviews are also trying to determine whether and how are women educated during pregnancy about possible psychic problems in the course of puerperium. Expectant mothers are insufficiently educated about these problems, but thanks to organization Úsměv mámy and National Institute of Mental Health better foreknowledge can be achieved in the near future.
