Institut veřejné služby je upraven v zákoně č. 111/2006 Sb., o pomoci v hmotné nouzi, kde byl zakotven s účinností od 1. 1. 2009. Jelikož je novelizace zákona č. 111/2006 Sb., o pomoci v hmotné nouzi, plánována pro rok 2016, je téma mimořádně aktuální. The Public Service Institute is regulated by the Assistance in Material Need law n. 111/2006 Coll., which came into force on the 1st of January 2009. This issue is still up-to-date as the Assistance in Material Need law n. 111/2006 Coll. is to be amended during the year 2016.
