Intergenerational Coexistence of Families in Current Society

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zaměřujeme na důvody, které vedou mladé lidi bydlet se svými rodiči či prarodiči. Teoretickou část tedy zaměřujeme na pojmy, které souvisí s daným tématem. Popisujeme, co ve své podstatě rodina znamená, jaké role v rodině plní jednotliví členové a jaké mezi sebou mohou mít vztahy. Konkrétněji jsme se v teoretické části zaměřili na vztahy mezi rodiči a dětmi, ale také na vztahy mezi prarodiči a jejich vnoučaty. Dále jsme popsali a definovali pojmy jako jsou generace, mezigenerační učení a vícegenerační soužití. Přišlo nám velmi důležité zmínit i tu méně příjemnou stránku, což je péče o seniora, která s tímto tématem bohužel souvisí. V praktické části se pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů zaměřujeme na získání faktů, které nám pomohou zjistit důvody, proč se mladí lidé rozhodli žít společně se svými rodiči. Data, která jsme pomocí rozhovorů získali, jsme analyzovali, a to za pomocí otevřeného kódování a následně technikou zakotvené teorie popsali.

Abstract:

In this thesis we focus on the reasons that lead young people to live with their parents or grandparents. Therefore, we focus the theoretical part on concepts that are related to the topic. We describe what the family basically means, what roles each member plays in the family, and what relationships they can have with each other. More specifically, in the theoretical part we focused on the relationship between parents and children, but also on the relationship between grandparents and their grandchildren. We also described and defined terms such as generation, intergenerational learning and multigenerational coexistence. We found it very important to mention the less pleasant side, which is the care of the elderly, which is unfortunately related to this topic. In the practical part, we use semi-structured interviews to focus on obtaining facts that will help us find out the reasons why young people decided to live with their parents. We analyzed the data we obtained through interviews using open coding and then described the theory of grounded theory.
