The Process of Adopting the Euro

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce na téma "Proces přijetí eura" je zaměřena především na podmínky k přijetí jednotné evropské měny. Cílem práce je popsat podmínky, které musí členské státy splnit, pokud chtějí přijmout euro, jako svou měnu. A také, zda je pro země výhodné euro přijímat. První část je věnovaná historii Evropské unie. Druhá část pojednává o podmínkách přijetí eura. Třetí část shrnuje kladné či záporné dopady eura na ekonomii zemí členských států. Další část krátce pojednává o politických důvodech, které vedly ke vzniku eurozóny. A v poslední, tedy páté části, jsem se zaměřila na vstup České republiky do eurozóny, a jak to vnímají čeští občané. V závěru je shrnutí přijetí eura, včetně mého názoru na zavedení eura v České republice.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is „The Process of Accepting the Euro Currency“ and it focuses mainly on the conditions needed for acceptance of the uniform European currency. The goal of this theses, is to describe conditions, which must be fulfilled by the members states, if they want to accept the euro as the national currency. And also, as well as if, it is advantageous for the countries to accept the euro at all. The first part is devoted to the history of the European Union. The second part speaks about the conditions for accepting the euro currency. The third part summarizes the positive or negative impacts the euro has on the economy of the member states. The following part shortly talks about the political reasons, which lead to the creation of the eurozone. In the last, fifth part, I focused on the entry of the Czech Republic into the eurozone and how this is viewed by the Czech citizens. In the final part there is a summary of accepting the euro, including my opinion on the introduction of the euro in the Czech Republic.
