Diploma thesis "Theories of interpretation by Umberto Eco and Roman Ingarden" emphasizes on identical aspects in theories of interpretation by two influential literary theorist of 20th century. Methodologically Eco belongs to structural semiotics, while Ingarden represents hermeneutic-phenomenology tradition.
