Circular economy in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá velmi aktuálním tématem, a to cirkulární ekonomikou. Cílem této práce je obeznámení se s tématem cirkulární ekonomika, s jejími principy, koncepty, obchodními modely. Dále také analyzovat vývoj cirkulární ekonomiky v České republice i v zahraničí, identifikovat trendy, uvést příklady z praxe, provést rozhovor se společností KOMA Modular a nalézt odpovědi na výzkumné otázky. Práce klade důraz na problémy spojené s odpadem a jeho dopadem na životní prostředí, na nutnost recyklace, využívání obnovitelných a udržitelných zdrojů a na zvyšování efektivity produkce. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení pojmu cirkulární ekonomika, její účel, historii, bariéry, principy, koncepty, obchodní modely, rozdíl mezi cirkulární a lineární ekonomikou, rizika a strategii Evropské unie. V praktické části je provedena analýza vývoje cirkulární ekonomiky v České republice a v zahraničí, identifikovány trendy, zpracován rozhovor, uvedeny příklady z praxe a navržena doporučení pro společnost KOMA Modular, další společnosti i pro jednotlivce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with a very current topic, namely the circular economy. The aim of this work is to become familiar with the topic of the circular economy, its principles, concepts, and business models. Also analyze the development of the circular economy in the Czech Republic and abroad, identify trends, give examples from practice, conduct an interview with KOMA Modular and find answers to research questions. The work emphasizes the problems associated with waste and its impact on the environment, the necessity of recycling, the use of renewable and sustainable resources and increasing the efficiency of production. The theoretical part contains the definition of the term circular economy, its purpose, history, barriers, principles, concepts, business models, the difference between circular and linear economy, risks and the strategy of the European Union. In the practical part, an analysis of the development of the circular economy in the Czech Republic and abroad is carried out, trends are identified, an interview is processed, examples from practice are presented and recommendations are proposed for KOMA Modular, other companies and individuals.
