Implementation of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 into a small company

Abstract:

V současném světě, který je globálně propojen pomocí nejrůznějších IT technologií, existuje nepřeberné množství informací. Výhodu získává ten, kdo je schopen s informacemi efektivně a rychle pracovat. Proto vznikají nejrůznější produkty s cílem tento proces zjednodušit, zrychlit ale také zpříjemnit. Jedním z těchto produktů je i Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. Práce se zabývá možnostmi využití této portálové technologie a způsobem její implementace do malé společnosti. V úvodu jsou zmíněny základní důvody, proč vůbec o zavedení portálu uvažovat. Velký prostor je věnován popisu funkcionality, která je rozdělena do šesti funkčních celků. Pro lepší ilustraci jsou zahrnuty také praktické ukázky. Druhá polovina textu se zaměřuje na jednotlivé fáze procesu implementace SharePoint Serveru 2010 do firemního prostředí včetně ukázky konkrétní instalace. Součástí práce je také návrh struktury projektového webu, který vychází z požadavků konkrétní společnosti. V jednotlivých kapitolách se čtenář postupně dozví o možnostech praktického využití jednotlivých funkcí SharePointu, ale také o průběhu implementace tohoto softwaru do firemního prostředí. Obě části čerpají z praktických zkušeností autora při práci s touto technologií v reálném prostředí.

Abstract:

Today's world is globally connected by various IT or ICT technologies. There is a plenty of information around the world. People that are able to work effectively with the information have really big advantage. This is mainly the reason why many products are being made only with one purpose -- to make this process more effective, easier and faster. One of them is Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. The work is all about this product and its implementation into a small company. An introduction discusses basic reasons that can lead to implement SharePoint. The first logical part of the work describes functionality of the portal and is divided into six groups of functions. For better illustration, there are also examples based on real scenarios. The second part of the text focuses on individual phases of the process of implementation of SharePoint Server 2010 into the company and it also includes an example of real installation. The last part of the work is focused on design of the project collaboration web for the specific company. In individual chapters, the reader gradually learns about the possibilities of practical use of SharePoint functionality and also about the implementation of this software into the company environment. In both parts author uses his practical experience which he gained by working with the technology in a real environment.
