Karakachans in Bulgaria
Abstract:
My thesis deals with a unique sub-ethnic group of Karakachans living in Bulgaria, mainly populating in areas of Stara Planina, Rila and Northwest Bulgaria. The Karakachans are the east orthodox population with their own Greek-north dialect. There are several hypotheses explaining the origin of Karakachans. V mojej bakalárskej práci som sa snažila predstaviť v Bulharsku žijúcu subetnickú skupinu Karakačanov, ktorí sa vyskytujú v oblastiach Starej Planiny, Rily a v Severozápadnom Bulharsku. Karakačani vyznávajú pravoslávie a hovoria severo-gréckym nárečím.Pôvod Karakačanov nie je dodnes presný, existuje niekoľko hypotéz.
