Data Communication Diagrams within the Service-oriented Architecture

Abstract:

Práce se orientuje na dokumentaci komunikace aplikací pomocí middleware SAP Process Orchestration v prostředí ŠKODA Auto. Konkrétně se práce věnuje diagramům datové komunikace, které slouží osobám zodpovědným za spravované systémy pro lepší orientaci v celém procesu správy rozhraní na všech zúčastněných systémech. V původním stavu dokumentace komunikace nebyla v dobrém stavu, pouze k několika málo rozhraním existoval diagram znázorňující daný proces komunikace. Diagramy neměly pevně danou formu ani obsah. Cílem této práce bylo vytvoření konkrétních diagramů datové komunikace a šablony na jejich tvorbu s ucelenými a jednotnými nároky na formu i obsah, které zaměstnancům umožní přehlednější orientaci, snadnější úpravy a efektivní a rychlé řešení problémů s příslušnými přenosy dat. Přínosem je zkombinování požadavků praxe s vybranými osvědčenými prvky jazyků UML, BPMN a dalších do nové formy, která lépe pokrývá požadavky každodenní praxe správy rozhraní pro datovou komunikaci v prostředí korporátního IT.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the documentation of application communication using the SAP Process Orchestration middleware in the ŠKODA Auto company environment. Specifically, the thesis deals with data communication diagrams used by employees responsible for managing the systems. The diagrams enable better understanding of the entire process of interface management of all employed systems. The state of the art of the communication documentation was not satisfactory, with only a few interfaces including the diagram illustrating the communication process. Moreover, the diagrams were not presented neither in the unified form nor with the unified content. The aim of this thesis was to create specific data communication diagrams and a template for their creation with consistent and uniform requirements related to their form and content. This would enable the employees to get orientated more clearly, edit more easily, and troubleshoot relevant data transfers more efficiently and quickly. The benefit is the combination of the requirements of practice with selected proven elements of UML, BPMN and other languages into a new form which better addresses the requirements of daily practice of managing interfaces for data communication in a corporate IT environment.
