Geological, soil and forest environment relationship in the Železné hory Geopark – basic material for education

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem geologického a půdního prostředí a jejich vlivu na dřevinnou a bylinnou skladbu na nich se vyskytujících lesních porostů. Terénní výzkum probíhal na šesti lokalitách na území geologicky mimořádně pestrém, a to Geoparku Železné hory, který se z části rozkládá na území stejnojmenné chráněné krajinné oblasti (CHKO). Lokality byly voleny tak, aby reprezentovaly různé horninové podloží, a potenciálně také různé typy půd a na nich, pokud možno, stanovištně odpovídající dřevinnou i bylinnou skladbou. Na každé lokalitě byla vykopána půdní sonda, nafocena, popsána a určen půdní subtyp. Dále byly odebrány a nafoceny vzorky hornin z jednotlivých lokalit. Bylo navrženo několik možností využití nasbíraných dat pro zpracování do formy edukačních materiálů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the ralationship between geological and soil environment and their influence on the tree and herbal composition of forest stands growing on them. Terrain research was performed on the six localities within extraordinary colorful area from the geological point of view – Železné hory Geopark, particulary spreading on the Železné hory Protected Landscape Area (PLA). Localities were chosen with the objective to represent different bedrocks, potentially different soil types on them and forests stand habitats corresponding to potential woody and herbaceous composition. On each locality, a soil pit was digged and documented (photo, description of properties and soil subtype). Also bedrock samples were taken and documented. As one of the results, several choices for education use were described and designed.
