The dissertation is focused on adult aducation in Germany and especially on one of the institutions, in which the adult aducation takes place. It analyses the posibilities and conditions of the adult education at Volkshochschulen, the ways of financing, staffing, structure of the clientele both on the Federal republic level and on the Federal state level (Saxony). Práce se věnuje vzdělávání dospělých v Německé spolkové republice a zaměřuje se na jednu z organizací, ve které se vzdělávání dospělých uskutečňuje - Volkschochschule. Analyzuje možnosti a podmínky dalšího vzdělávání ve Volkshochschulen, způsob financování, personální zajištění a skladbu klientely jak na úrovni celé spolkové republiky, tak v jedné ze spolkových zemí (Sasko).
