Common school education and international comparative tests for primary school

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak se odlišují úlohy srovnávacích testů mezinárodních šetření od úloh používaných při běžné školní výuce matematiky na 1. stupni základních škol. Prostřednictvím písemné práce sestavené z typově shodných úloh průzkumu TIMSS 2011 byly porovnávány znalosti a dovednosti žáků Ústeckého kraje ve 4. a 5. ročníku školního roku 2014/15 s průměrnými znalostmi a dovednostmi jejich vrstevníků v roce 2011. Průzkum byl veden explorativní metodou s využitím výzkumných technik rozhovoru a ankety a analýzou písemných prací zadaných za účelem ověření překonání slabin ve výuce matematiky zjištěných ve znalostech a dovednostech žáků, kteří prošli mezinárodním testováním TIMSS 2011. Úkolem kvalitativní sondy bylo prověřit praktické postoje pedagogů k metodickým materiálům vydaným Českou školní inspekcí jako námět pro rozvoj kompetencí žáků na základě zjištění šetření TIMSS a PIRLS v roce 2011.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to find out how distinguish the mathematical problems of comparative tests of international investigation from tasks used in common school teaching mathematics at elementary school. Survey compared the knowledge and skills of 4th and 5th year Usti Region´s students of the school year 2014/15 with the average knowledge and skills of their peers in 2011 through written work of the same type of tasks TIMSS 2011. The survey was conducted by exploratory method using the research technique and interview and by analysis of mathematic written work entered to verify overcome of weaknesses in teaching mathematics discovered in knowledge and skills of students who have passed the international testing TIMSS 2011. This qualitative probe was designed to investigate the practical attitudes of teachers towards methodological papers issued by the Czech School Inspectorate as a theme for competence development of students competences based on findings of TIMSS and PIRLS 2011.
