The reflection of French gastronomy in the novel Une gourmandise by Muriel Barbery

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the French gastronomy and its reflection in the novel Une gourmandise written by the French author Muriel Barbery. The work is divided into theoretical, practical, and didactic part. In the theoretical part is discussed the French gastronomy, its reflection in the novel Une gourmandise and the confectionary in today's France. Theoretical part contains the life of Muriel Barbery, her work, and a critique of the novel Une gourmandise. The practical part consists of an analysis of the novel Une gourmandise and a questionnaire researching the topic of confectionery in France. The didactic part contains three lesson plans with worksheets included for French language classes. The lesson plans are developing all the linguistic competences, both active ones, which are speaking and writing, and passive ones, which are reading and listening. In these lesson plans, it is taken in consideration that the best way to learn something is through an experience and emotions. It means that one of these plans contains preparation of French crepes, which goes on with the topic of this theses.

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřená na francouzskou gastronomii a její reflexi v románu Une gourmandise od francouzské autorky Muriel Barbery. Práce je rozdělená na teoretickou, praktickou a didaktickou část. V teoretické části se zabýváme francouzskou gastronomií, její reflexí v románu Une gourmandise a také zmíníme cukrářství v dnešní Francii. Zabýváme se životem Muriel Barbery, jejím dílem a kritikou románu Une gourmandise. V praktické části analyzujeme román Une gourmandise a dotazník zabývající se tématem cukrářství ve Francii. V didaktické části se nachází tři pedagogické listy, které mohou sloužit jako příprava do hodin francouzského jazyka. Pedagogické listy jsou vytvořené tak, aby v nich byly rozvíjeny všechny jazykové kompetence, a to aktivní, kterými jsou mluvení a psaní, i pasivní, kterými jsou čtení a poslech. Zároveň v těchto pedagogických listech nezapomínáme ani na fakt, že nejlépe se učíme za pomocí vlastní zkušenosti a emocí, a proto v pedagogických listech najdeme i společnou přípravu francouzských palačinek, což zároveň souzní s tématem celé bakalářské práce.
