Evaluation of Accounting Data in Business Management

Abstract:

Graduation thesis called „ Evaluation of Accounting Data in Business Management“ is focused on the characteristics of information system of accounting data that is the basic resource of the information needed for management, planning and deciding of business company operation. The aim of graduation thesis is to describe accounting outputs that are the resource of the information for internal and external users. The first chapter includes the history and general accounting characteristics. It describes the legislative regulation of accounting, accounting procedures and European accounting standards that lead to procedures implementation to harmonise Slovak accounting with EU law. The second chapter deals with the importance of accounting information, describes single parts of the company information system and provides the starting point for their processing. It consists of the characteristics of balance sheet, profit or loss and notes to financial statements. It compares financial and managerial accounting and characterizes their different usage. The third part is the analysed financial and property situation of the chosen company based on theoretical information and analysis of accounting outputs and statements for given period. Possibilities and resources of further information that are not offered in current accounts are described .

Abstract:

Diplomová práca s názvom „Zhodnotenie účtovných informácií v riadení podniku“ sa zaoberá charakterizovaním informačnej sústavy účtovnej jednotky, ktorá je základným zdrojom informácií pre riadenie, plánovanie a rozhodovanie o chode obchodnej spoločnosti. Cieľom diplomovej práce je popísať výstupy z účtovníctva, ktoré sú zdrojom informácií pre interných a externých užívateľov. Prvá kapitola obsahuje históriu a všeobecnú charakteristiku účtovníctva. Ďalej popisuje legislatívnu úpravu účtovníctva, postupy účtovania a Európske účtovné štandardy, ktorými došlo k zavedeniu smerníc smerujúcim k harmonizácii nášho účtovníctva s právom EÚ. Druhá kapitola je zameraná na význam účtovných informácií , popisuje jednotlivé časti informačnej sústavy podniku a poskytuje východiská pre ich spracovanie. Pozostáva z charakteristiky súvahy, výkazu ziskov a strát a poznámok k účtovnej závierke. Porovnáva finančné a manažérske účtovníctvo a charakterizuje ich rozdielne využitie. V tretej kapitole je na základe teoretických východísk a analýzy účtovných výstupov a výkazov vybraného podniku analyzovaná jeho finančná a majetková situácia za určité časové obdobie a sú opísané možnosti a zdroje ďalších informácií, ktoré nám bežné účtovné výkazy neponúkajú.
