Diplomová práce se zabývá dvěma hlavními otázkami lingvistiky 20. století – univerzalizmus a relativizmus – na příkladu základních barevných termínů ruského a českého jazyka. The diploma thesis deals with two of the central linguistic issues of the 20th century -- universalism and relativism -- in regards to basic color terms in the Russian and Czech languages. Since both languages are Slavic languages and therefore belong to the Indo-European language family, we can assume that we will get similar results in our analysis.
