Cycling and its potential in the Giant Mountains

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se nejprve zaměřuje na představení základních, ale klíčových pojmů týkající se cykloturistiky. Dále se věnuje geografickému představení Krkonoš z hlediska přírodních poměrů, tradic či návštěvnosti. Snahou práce je také seznámení s významnými lokalizačními a realizačními předpoklady cykloturistiky v nejvyšším českém pohoří. V praktické části je práce zaměřena na analýzu počtu cykloturistů ve vybraných lokalitách, vyhodnocení absolvovaných cyklotras z hlediska geografických aspektů a vyhotovení SWOT analýzy u potenciálně atraktivních složek cykloturistiky. V poslední části jsou v práci vyhodnoceny dopady overturismu ve vybraných lokalitách.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis first introduced itself to the introduction of basic but key concepts related to cycling. It also deals with the geographical presentation of the Giant Mountains in terms of natural conditions, traditions and attendance. The aim of the work is also to get acquainted with the identified and implementation assumptions of cycling in the highest Czech mountains. In the analysis of the practical part, the work focuses on the number of cyclists in selected localities, evaluation of completed cycle routes in terms of geographical aspects and preparation of a SWOT analysis of potentially attractive components of cycling. In the last part, the impacts of overtourism in selected localities are evaluated.
