Closing of cranial suturas in Old Slavonic populations
Abstract:
V teoretické části své práce jsem se nejprve zaměřila na vývoj lebky a jak je kostní tkáň ovlivňována věkem. Dále jsem se pokusila shromáždit informace o uzavírání lebečních švů a utvořit historický nástin jejich studia. V praktické části jsem odhadla věk u 147 jedinců, z toho 94 mužů, 51 žen a 2 neurčených jedinců. Kosterní materiál použitý v této práci pochází z lokalit Pohansko u Břeclavi – Pohřebiště …more
Abstract:
In the theoretical part of my thesis I focused first on the development of cranium and how age affects the bone tissue. Next I wanted to gather information about cranial suture closure and historical outline of their studies.
