Sociální pomoc představuje významnou součást systému sociálního zabezpečení. Jejím cílem je především to, aby občan znovu získal schopnost zabezpečovat své potřeby vlastním přičiněním, případně mu poskytnout pomocnou ruku po dobu, kdy toho není sám schopen. Social assistance presents an important part of the system of social security. Social assistance can be understood in objective intendment as the system of rules of law, specialized institutes and institutions, which are aimed to solving the social oppressive situations.
