From moral panic to romantic tribalism. Sociological thematizations of football hooliganism

Abstract:

Předmětem této práce je přiblížení sociologických teorií a výsledků zkoumání, které jsou zaměřené na fotbalové chuligánství. Fenomén se však od svého vzniku v 60. letech 20. století mění. Je proto potřeba, aby vědecká obec reagovala na společenské procesy, které mají zásadní vliv na proměnu jevu. Jak probíhá vývoj fotbalového chuligánství, který zapříčinil vznik samostatného vědeckého oboru? Co předcházelo ústupu, který u chuligánství zaznamenáváme? V této práce představím sociologické přístupy akademiků, které vedou ke zodpovězení otázek týkajících se fotbalového chuligánství.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is to present sociological theories and research results that focus on football hooliganism. However, the phenomenon has changed since its inception in the 1960s. Therefore, there is a need for the scientific community to respond to the social processes that have a major impact on the transformation of the phenomenon. What is the evolution of football hooliganism that has led to the creation of a separate scientific field? What has preceded the decline that we are seeing in hooliganism? In this paper I will present the sociological approaches of academics that lead to answering questions about football hooliganism.
