Práce popisuje režim Vietnamské demokratické republiky mezi lety 1945 - 1975, a snaží se jej klasifikovat z hlediska Linzovy teorie nedemokratických režimů. Snahou práce je odpovědět na otázku, zda se praktické fungování režimu ve sledovaném období blíží více autoritativním, nebo totalitním režimům. The thesis describes the regime of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam between 1945 - 1975 and tries to clasify it from the perspective of J. J. Linz's theory of non-democratic regimes. The main goal is to answer the question whether the practical functioning of the regime in the monitored period is approaching more closer the totalitarian or the authoritarian regimes.
