Study of the interstellar matter in the direction of the star BD +53 2820

Abstract:

V předložené práci studuji mezihvězdné prostředí ve směru hvězdy BD +53 2820. V první části je čtenář seznámen se základními fakty o mezihvězdné látce, o historii jejího objevu a o jejích různých podobách. V druhé části je vysvětlen mechanismus vzniku spektrálních čar a popsány faktory, ovlivňující jejich tvar. Ve třetí kapitole je popsán postup zpracování zadaného úkolu: identifikace jednotlivých spektrálních čar, zjištění posuvu vlnové délky středu čáry a výpočet radiální rychlosti. Podle počtu skupin radiálních rychlostí je odhadnut počet oblaků mezihvězdné látky mezi Zemí a hvězdou.

Abstract:

In the present work I study the interstellar medium in the direction of the star BD +53 2820. In the first section I summarize the fundamental facts about the interstellar medium, about the history of it's discovery and about it's diverse forms. The mechanism of formation of spectral li and factors, affecting their shape, are described in the second section. The procedure of project processing is described in the third section: spectral lines identification, shift of the wavelength of the centre of the spectral line determination and the computation of the radial velocity. Number of interstellar clouds between the Earth and the star is estimated according to number of groups of radial velocities.
