Postural and breathing disorders: effects of diaphragm retraction on posture.

Abstract:

This paper aims to highlight the main alterations in posture following dysfunctions of the physiological mechanics of the thoracic diaphragm muscle. Furthermore, the possible connections between non-functional diaphragmatic breathing and the onset of the Upper Cross Syndrome and the Lower Cross Syndrome will be highlighted. Having preliminarily examined the anatomical components of the thoracic diaphragm muscle, highlighted the types of breathing, we focused on the static and dynamic postural examination and on the description of the main postural alterations resulting from non-functional breathing.

Abstract:

Il presente elaborato mira ad evidenziare quelle che sono le principali alterazioni della postura in seguito a disfunzioni della fisiologica meccanica del muscolo diaframma toracico. Inoltre, si evidenzieranno le possibili connessioni tra una respirazione diaframmatica non funzionale e l'insorgenza della Sindrome Crociata Superiore e della Sindrome crociata Inferiore. Esaminate preliminarmente le componenti anatomiche del muscolo diaframma toracico, evidenziate le tipologie di respirazione, ci si ? incentrati sull'esame posturale statico e dinamico e sulla descrizione delle principali alterazioni posturali conseguenti ad una respirazione non funzionale.
