The strategy of learning the foreign languages by the participants of corporate education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Strategie učení cizích jazyků účastníků podnikového vzdělávání“ je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a empirickou. V části teoretické práce jsou představeny jednotlivé strategie učení cizích jazyků a proměnné ovlivňující používání těchto strategií. Dále je v teoretické části řešena problematika vzdělávání dospělých a také vzdělávání podnikového. Teoretickou část práce uzavírá kapitola o jazykovém vzdělávání v profesním kontextu, která tematicky propojuje kapitoly předcházející. Empirická část se zaměřuje na dospělé účastníky jazykových kurzů podnikového vzdělávání a zjišťuje používání kognitivních a metakognitivních strategií učení CJ v závislosti na určitých charakteristikách respondentů. Cílem práce je popsat obecné charakteristiky strategií učení cizích jazyků u dospělých v rámci podnikového vzdělávání, ověřit míru používání těchto strategií a v neposlední řadě objasnit vliv určitých proměnných na používání těchto strategií u dospělých studentů.

Abstract:

The thesis „ The strategy of learning the foreign languages by the participants of corporate education“ is divided between the theory and the empiric part. In the theory, there are presented the individual strategies of learning the foreign languages as well as the variables which influence these strategies. There are also solved the issues of the education of the adults and the education given by companies. Finally, there is a chapter about the language education in the professional context which is linked with the previous parts. The empiric part is focused to adults who learn the foreign language as a part of corporate education and it finds out how the specific characteristics of the respondents influence the cognitive and metacognitive strategy of learning the foreign languages. The goal of the thesis is to describe the characteristics of strategies of learning the foreign languages for the adults regarding the corporate education, verify the size of using these methods and also to clarify the influence of the veritables compared to using these strategies at the adults.
