The aim of this thesis is a contrastive analysis of Norwegian and English language. Segmental and suprasegmental sound levels will be compared. Cílem této bakalářské práce je kontrastivní analýza Norštiny a Angličtiny. Oba jazyky budou porovnány v rovině segmentální i suprasegmentální. Teoretická část bude popisovat historický vývoj Norštiny a s ohledem na dané téma i vývoj tzv. Staré Angličtiny.
