Theories of Color Vision

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na teorie barevného vidění s cílem shrnout jednotlivé poznatky o složitém procesu barevného vidění. V první části jsou jednotlivě popsány teorie barevného vidění s podrobnějším zaměřením na Heringovu oponentní teorii. V druhé polovině bakalářské práce jsou popsány současné poznatky o barevném vidění na úrovni jednotlivých buněk od sítnice po podkorová zraková centra. Zde jsou detailněji popsány horizontální buňky a jejich funkčnost u některých živočišných druhů.

Abstract:

This work is focused on the theory of colour vision with a view summarizes the various findings about the complex process of colour vision. In the first part are individually described theories of colour vision with a detailed focus on the Hering’s opponent theory. In the second half of the bachelor thesis is described the current knowledge of colour vision from the level of particular cells of the retina to subcortical visual centers. Finally I describe horizontal cells and their function in some animal species.
