Topos of the Island in British Children's Literature
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá toposem ostrova v dílech Daniela Defoa, Roberta Louise Stevensona a Arthura Ransoma. Práce zkoumá jakým způsobem je možné vnímat prostor ostrova jako metaforické vyjádření autorova postoje a jeho vnímání Velké Británie.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the topos of the island in selected works by Daniel Defoe, Robert Louis Stevenson and Arthur Ransome. The aim of the thesis is to determine the way in which it is possible to percieve the topos of the island as the authors‘ metaphorical reflection of Great Britain.
