Abstract:
Idiomatická spojení jsou nedílnou části každého existujícího jazyka, která umožňují jeho uživateli vyjádřit se mnoha způsoby a komunikavat s jeho vrstevníky. Tato diplomová práce analyzuje a porovnává idiomy vyjadřující emoce v Britské, Americké a Australské angličtině. Cílem této práce je odhalit vlastnosti idiomů patřících do těchto dialektů a porovnat je mezi sebou.
Abstract:
Idiomatic expressions are an integral part of any existing language that provide its user with various options of how to express oneself and to communicate with their peers. This diploma thesis analyses and compares idioms expressing emotions from British, American and Australian English. The aim of the thesis is to discover characteristics of idioms peculiar to each variety and compare them.
