Práce obsahuje seznámení s pojmem informační gramotnost. Nejvíce rozebíranou částí je koncepce ECDL, u které je specifikována její historie a současné možnosti. Popisují se zde i současné moduly, které tato koncepce poskytuje k otestování. Práce také obsahuje další možnosti vzdělávání v oblasti informačních technologií.
