Injury incidence analysis in parkour

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo provést analýzu výskytu zranění u specifické skupiny parkouristů ve věku od 13 do 30 let a poukázat tak na nejčastější poranění a jejich možné příčiny. V této práci jsme využili modifikovaného standardizovaného dotazníku. Pro následnou analýzu zaznamenaných dat jsme použili MS Excel?. U vybraných proměnných byla za pomocí chí-kvadrát testu určena statistická významnost využitím IBM SPSS 24 a MS Excel?. Odpovědělo celkem 44 respondentů v průměrném věku 19 let, přičemž většina byli muži a tréninková praxe činila v průměru 4,4 let. Zjistili jsme, že nejčastěji postiženou oblastí lidského těla jsou v důsledku zranění dolní končetiny, nejvyšší zastoupení v této oblasti získal kotník a koleno s velmi blízkou četností. Žádný typ zranění (akutní x chronický) se neukázal jako statisticky významnější. Statisticky nejrizikovější aktivitou se stala akrobacie, a to především v závěrečné fázi pohybu. Mezi rizikové povrchy patří beton nebo jiná tvrdá podložka. Dle vyjádření respondentů se jedná většinou o úrazy v důsledku únavy, špatné techniky prvku, nevhodný povrch či nesoustředěnost, nicméně příčiny zranění mohou být různé.

Abstract:

The main objective of the bachelor thesis was analyzing the occurrence of injuries within a specific group of parkourists aged between 13 and 30 years and point out the most common injuries and their possible causes. In this thesis we used modified standardized questionnaire. For the following analysis we used MS Excel?. Statistical significance within the selected variables was determined with the help of chi-square test using IBM SPSS 24 and MS Excel?. The total of 44 respondents at average age of 19 years answered the questionnaire, most of them were men and the average of training experience was 4,4 years. We found out that most commonly affected part of human body due to injuries are lower extremities, the most cases involved ankle and knee with similar occurency. There was no type of injuries (urgent x chronic) that would be statisticly significant. Statisticly the most risky activity happened to be acrobatics, especially in the final stage of movement. Among hazardous surfaces belong concrete or other hard underlays. According to the respondents, the most common causes of injuries are fatigue, wrong techniques, inappropriate surface or lack of concetration, however the causes may differ.
