Design and Implementation of IPv6 Network into Academic Sphere
Abstract:
The shortage of IP address space led to creation of new IPv6 protocol. Use of new IPv6 protocol in the Internet is minimal. We describe the protocol itself in this thesis and we analyze the spread of its usage mainly in Slovak universities academic network. Nedostatok v súčasnosti využívaných IP adries viedol k vzniku nového IPv6 protokolu. Jeho používanie je však v sieti Internet minimálne. V tejto práci sa venujeme popisu samotného protokolu, analyzujeme rozsah jeho používania a to najmä v akademickej sieti slovenských univerzít.
