Hermann von Altshausen and his path to freedom

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deepens the methodology of hermeneutics (text interpretation) introduced in the first thesis of the author. The pack of methods is used in the analysis and synthesis of a selected chapter of the novel Die letzte Freiheit by Marie Calasanz Ziesche and this enables not only professionals in theology or history, but also contemporary young generation deeper understanding of Herman´s inner process and his path to more true and perfect freedom. The pedagogical approach allows Marie Calasanz Ziesche to put into Herman´s biography a chapter which describes his non-historical stay in Aachen The masterful erudition in issues and history of the 11th century, the human and empathic understanding of young people, the psychological knowledge of problems of adolescents and the spiritual dimension are a perfect base for Maria Calasanz Ziesche writing this novel not only literary excellent but also with real human and spiritual accents which encourage young people. The variety of other characters surrounding Herman during his stay in Aachen let excel drama and intensity of searching of the base and the meaning of life.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce vylepšuje a prohlubuje metodologii hermeneutiky (výklad smyslu textů) z první práce autora. Komplex těchto metod je pak použit v analýze a syntéze vybrané části Oklika, z románu Dokonalá svoboda od Marie Calasanz Ziesche. Toto shrnutí umožňuje hlubší porozumění Heřmanova vnitřního přerodu a jeho cesty k pravdivější a dokonalejší svobodě, a to nejen odborníkům, např. pedagogům, teologům a historikům, ale i dnešní mladé generaci. Pedagogický přístup dovolí autorce do životopisu Heřmana z Altshausenu vložit kapitolu, která popisuje nehistorický pobyt Heřmana v Cáchách. Mistrná erudice v problematice a dějinách 11. století, lidské a empatické porozumění mladé generaci, psychologická znalost problematiky dospívajících a spirituální dimenze jsou pro Marii Calasanz Ziesche perfektním základem napsat tento román nejen skvěle literárně, nýbrž i s lidským a duchovním podtextem, který mladé lidi povzbuzuje. Pestrost a plejáda dalších osob, které Heřmana při jeho pobytu v Cáchách obklopují, nechává vyniknout dramatičnosti a náročnosti hledání podstaty a smyslu života.
