A space for tears

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem práce je analýza vztahu fenoménu absence a performance. Konkrétně, v souvislostech s otázkami identifikace a vnímaní absence, základní konstituce performance, vtěleni a těla fyzického i symbolického, úpadku smutečního rituálu a truchlení a konečně kreativních aspektů femininity. Ve výzkume se tato práce opírá hlavně o antropologická a fenomenologická východiska, ale v konečném důsledku nespadá striktně pod žádnou školu myšlení. Cílem práce je pojednat vztah absence a performance formou polemiky a průběžně nacházet nová interpretační východiska, souvislosti a možnosti chápaní tohoto vztahu. Práce je především orientovaná na proces a zachovaní fluidity uvažovaní je v ní zásadní. Tato práce se nepohybuje pouze v oblasti čisté teorie, ale obsahuje i návrhy praktických přístupů a řešení.

Abstract:

The main topic of this thesis is the analysis of the relationship between the phenomenon of absence and performance. Specifically, in relation to the question of identification and perception of absence, the basic constitution of performance, embodiment and both the physical and symbolic body, the downfall of mortuary ritual and mourning and finally the creative aspects of femininity. In the research this thesis leans on the anthropological and phenomenological viewpoints but does not strictly belong to a specific school of thinking. The aim of this thesis is to grasp the relationship of absence and performance polemically and to constantly look for new interpretations, connections and possibilities of understanding this relationship. The thesis is mainly process-oriented and keeping with a certain fluidity of thinking is central to it. This thesis does not operate only within pure theory, but also contains suggestions of practical approaches and solutions.
